The Maine State Police chose the Datastorm unit and Aerial One to provide high speed communications via satellite to their Mobile command unit. The Mobile command unit is used as a base of operations for the tactical team during critical emergency, negotiation and disaster situations. Having the ability to provide high speed internet to the site gives the team the advantage of access to information that can be vital in defusing a hostile situation and one more way to communicate to outside locations in the event radio or cell service is not available. In initial tests the unit can have high speed internet communications available in under 6 minutes. The team is excited about the capability and look forward to having all the capability on site as they have in the office.
- Loram Maintenance of Way - Rail Maintenance
Loram chose DataStorm and Aerial One to provide high Speed internet to rail grinders that travel vast distances across the US and Canada. High Speed communications to the trains allow both database replication of schedule and real time access to on board computers from the central office. Due to the fact that the train has an IP address gives them the ability to treat the train as an office location. Prior to this ability the crew spent up to 6 hours per night on dial up communications from the hotel. They project the unit to pay for itself based on the ability to maintain and problem solve from the central office instead of physically sending a technician to the train. The speed that the dish can be deployed allows the crew to establish communication anytime the train is sidelined during the day or when derailed for the night.

Selected Aerial One and Motosat's Datastorm unit to bring live horseracing feeds and real-time connection to their Demonstration Vehicle. The Vehicle has 20 flat screen televisions and 7 demonstration gaming machines that are fed by the Satellite internet connection that can be established with in minutes of pulling up to a demonstration location. The Datastorm offers the only way for this vehicle to act as a fully functional demonstration. The fully functional demonstration room roams the US and Canada. The IP Address allows remote access to programmers and developers to keep the code up to date with out traveling to the unit.

A full-functioning switch, and the Wireless Access Point quickly and easily connects to your wired LAN by a 10Base-T Ethernet connection and provides Layer 2 bridge functionality. An IEEE 802.11b Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) wireless network PC card.
The card functions like any standard wired Ethernet card, but uses radio frequencies instead of a cable for the LAN connection
